You were there. It was a really bad snow year.

lol.... :P... I'm hoping to be able to ski over top of the boulder field under the top of lift 8 this year.

And lift 1 is going to be new this season! Pics from LiftBlog:

Going to miss the old fixed grip chair 1. Legs likes the rest on the slow chairs.
Not going to get that with the new detachable. :nono:

But it might have footrests! Those are nice (if I can get my feet onto them... a few smaller ones I can't.)

I also like the longer ride time to rest my legs between runs.
Nothing much else but 1,800 feet of non-stop bumps in the lower front.
Porcupine and Powder Horn are the only groomers there.

My advice is worth what you paid for it.

Back to the last thread question, we'd probably make either of those two date ranges, but I'd rather be there a little earlier because I have two other trips in mid-late February. It's going to the an "Ikonic" year!

I think the question is Jan 26th - Feb 2nd, or Feb 2nd - Feb 9th....

Thank you for including me, dbostedo! Poor snow kept me away from Taos last season. I missed the place!

Please count me in for the mini-gathering/ski week. I like both your preferred weeks, but my schedule is flexible so I'll do my best to be there on a week that best suits the group.

Cheers

I'm confused now too... Snowshoe? I thought we were all going to Taos. NM > WV.

I prefer later dates. But my preference should have minimal sway since I live nearby and can be flexible. As soon as you choose the snow gods will make sure to dump the other week you know

Ah, but better to arrive the week after than leave the week before. ;)
