The guns were all serviced & tested last week,.... They are now placed on OSV and will be running when temps allow. We have to be mindful of the very dry summer & a somewhat reduced water budget for snowmaking this year.

Drake the Sheltie is loving the snow falling this morning,..... It's been a long Summer.....

I thought that Sun Peaks was working on expanding the snowmaking reservoir capacity but perhaps increased rain and creek flow are still needed or maybe the expansion work is not completed?

They are working on it,..... But the inflow has to come from somewhere,.... & this summer, in fact from the end of April, it simply didn't rain,..... At all.

Part of the Power & infrastructure upgrades that have been going on all summer have been to allow for a greatly expanded water treatment facility which will solve almost all of the current shortage issues for both snowmaking and Golf Course upkeep.

The place is starting to look like a ski hill !!

Minus 14 in the village & minus 20 up top,.... 30cm in the last 2 days is always a good start.
