great news for inbounds resort skiers, not so great news for back country skiers that use steamboats lifts to exit the resort.

very hard for a ski resort and environmentalists to fully agree.

On the list:
“Explore renewable energy options and food waste diversion technology.”

To Vail, this means having an employee/s stay at the area where people take their trays. All day.
Meanwhile, there’s no employee out at the lift lines directing traffic. They just setup string mazes in the morning and hope for the best.

I find it hard to sympathize with backcountry skiers that are upset about it, unless you were skinning up this area.

If you were taking Steamboat's lifts to get to that area, sorry not sorry. If it weren't for Steamboat in the first place, you wouldn't have access to the golf course

Environmentalists have legit beef, but yeah you're right @Ron, those parties are never going to agree

And, yes, they are getting into these areas via the Pony Express lift.

Has not been opened yet. We really didnt have the snowpack for it this season and im sure logistically, there were some Covid related impacts. Good news is we had far fewer rescues by SARs this season!
