Hold on! Is Suzu skiing?

She's on the start list and has been aiming for a return at these games. She raced the SL at Lenzerheide before flying to Korea and finished 12th - not bad for fresh off the injured reserve bench.

Was there figure skating on last night? Didn't see it.
But, if half pipe is "boring" what do you want to watch? Speed skating?
Combined coverage was poor. They should just show the race and not chop it up. But America generally doesn't want to watch a ski race. Will be interesting to see the slalom tonight.
Speed skating is more interesting than halfpipe.....one is an athletic competition with set rules and the strongest wins, the other is a beauty contest for extremely athletic people.

If it's a beauty contest then how is team USA earning Gold medals wearing those godawful spacesuits?:D

Tara and Johnny look fabulous tonight!
Btw, they asked him about Hunger Games and he said it's only taken people 4 yrs to notice.

Would you rather have them just persevere though the wind, and what will result in some clear disadvantages depending on who gets what wind {likely affecting results}, or see it postponed?

I’m sure you remember Killy’s winning run to secure the trifecta. What would you prefer?

Would that be when half of the alpine world or more thought Karl Schranz was screwed? Regardless, it was "a mess." The world wanted to see Killy win three. The French sure did. So did my mom.
Not only do I remember it. I was right there with my dad, at 14.

I like to take weather out of the equation as much as possible. This might go down as another real screw up by the IOC, but then again the whole process is so enormous, and such a huge business that it has little to do with the actual sport. Certainly a lot less about alpine skiing. Interesting to talk to some athletes. At the start of your career, a great experience and big deal to qualify. At the end of your career, big deal and sentimental. In the middle, a lot of them really think its a pain in the ass.

If Hirscher had been taken out last night by that weather......I'd be furious.
