Hey all, great site. Started skiing in 1965 in VT at what was then called Glen Ellen. Fell in love with it. Wife and I decided to snowbird in Glendale, AZ starting this November. Never skied in the West but sure used to the Northeast boilerplate! Can't wait to try out AZ Snowbowl and then up to other great Western areas.

User name refers not to snowboarding but rather my other love, motorcycling. We own 2 bikes, 99 BMW K1200LT and 08 Honda Goldwing.

Look forward to interacting with everyone, love the no politics philosophy.

Isn't "Snowbird" a reference to folks who live in the northern tier of states and spend winters in the southern tier?

Most snowbirds migrate from north to south for the winter months. There is a subspecies of snowbird that migrates from east to west to take advantage of the abundance of soft snow.
