We did the day care thing a few times and just for a day here and there.

We did a week in Breck when the kid was 18 months and left him at home with grandma.

We shared houses in VT for long weekends with other couples that had babies and had babysitters come to the house.

We brought grandparents along for a few weekends in VT.

At 3.5 he was skiing and we always brought him . When he was 7 my ex stopped skiing so it was me and the kid from there on out.
