I finally got around to mounting my Hangemright ski hangers. They were stupid easy to install. I have one pair of skis out getting their pre-season spa treatment so not pictured. Oh, and I bought an extra hanger...

A ready-made option. Who knew?
I love the concept, I just wish they sold them in 6-packs.

I had an idea to use a French Cleat

As a trial, I made this...

I would have the wall peice run the full length. then the ski part could be put anywhere as needed. A pole holder could be added..a bag holder. Hmmm. I could be on to something
Makes me wish I still had all of my wood working tools. I love the concept.

I got my wall mount ski rack out to put up for the winter and remembered a thread I'd seen on Epic Ski last year about hanging skis. It said that you should never hang skis with tip rocker from the tips. What is your opinion please? Should I make my own that hang lower from the toe pieces or doesn't it matter?

Hanging from tips is good for camber, bad for rocker.. But honestly, how many years of being hung like that does it take to change the camber/rocker? If you're storing them for decades I'd be more concerned than if you're storing them for a couple weeks here and there. Also, is the storage area climate controlled, or is it a shed or garage where temps can get above 100 degrees for months on end??

Philpug - I've seen something very similar with round disks. I attached a couple of pics of what I was thinking so I could maybe leave them hung all year but with bags in the off season.

Don't EVER leave skis in a bag for more than a day unless you are 100% certain they are completely thawed out and dry. Ice will melt out from under the bindings and rust your edges while zipped up in the bag.

After travel all are emptied & dried immediately. I'm talking about storing in the bag over the summer to keep clean and dust free.

Still have some tweaking to do. Finding that the taller one works better. Need to make sure my 45 degrees are really 45 degrees.

Like the flexibility of using the cleats.

Looks like the eadiest thing for me to do is to go with hangemright.com just in case hanging from the tip is bad for the rocker. Thanks.

Got this on amazon. Less than 2 minutes to assemble, cost $85

Holds 5 pair of skis

I just do not like the idea of hanging skis from their tips. Call me paranoid, but long term pressure like that has to have an impact on the skis

I prefer the square design of the Hangemright and mine to the round of the button, less rocking.
