I've been looking and not finding exactly what I'd like to get my son. He has a shell now but the hood doesn't go over his helmet and it's more water resistant than waterproof. Ideally I'd like to find a solid waterproof shell with a high waterproof rating that's fully sealed and can handle the snow and slopes. He prefers to layer over having a bulky or lined jacket. He's a tall 12 year old but very lean and wears a 14-16 or boys Large. It can be either a ski/snow shell or a rain shell.
I've maybe been picky in my search but if he gets wet and cold then it kills our slope time.
Any recommendations?
