The Arcteryx Beta AR have been the closest to my requirements, very versatile and a nice cut with room but without excess flapping. I'd like a thigh pocket or two, belt loops, stretch panel, maybe the next heavier material or reinforcing on the seat. The cuff design is the best yet and it works well with hiking boots too. Their other ski pants make it hard to adjust knee braces I fear, I also run hot and like to adjust my temp by layering long underwear.
And they come in short, which isn't short (I'm 6-0) so I really can wear them w hiking boots without bunching.
