Ski Bag Fees on Airlines?

Well the idea is to maximize airline and travel carrying capacity. Helmet needs to go inside. It will at some point in transfers from trains and buses get lost or get in the way. By putting boots on outside you can get them on the plane by taking them off and putting on shoulder.
