This one was a fun build. I have had two G&S Warptail 2's, pne plywood with wheel wells, and one plywood without week wells. I had been shopping for the older Stacy Peralta Warptail that was solid oak with a wedge kick but only saw really $$$spendy$$$ ones available. Then I saw this one.. It was listed as G&S unknown model with hand painted Pink Floyd art on top. It was pretty cheap so I assumed that since there was no side view photo for the listing that it was cheap because the wedge was gone.. seen several folks trying to sell old ones like that. I liked the art on it so I snagged it to hang on to and set up until a better Peralta with the wedge kick turned up for under $200.
When it arrived I was elated to see it DID still have the kick tail wedge in tact. The paint on it was amazingly well done. I was thinking of stripping it down and putting the Gordon and Smith traditional graphics back but decided on keeping the Floyd graphics.. Gripped it clear instead.. ACS 500s and Sims Pure Juice
Here's the Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here album art it was inspired by.. Album and deck are pretty much the same age, period correct for sure..
