I am interested in a retractable, motorized awning for our back porch.

Does anyone have one of these?

    Recommendations? Brands to avoid?

They are good as long as you are not in a location with a lot of wind. They don't seem to hold up in the wind, they act like a sail in the wind. One of my neighbors had theirs ripped off the house, it was not nice to have all that money ripped apart and blown away.

Some past neighbours had one on their back deck. It was awesome ,but you can't have open in the wind! I think some have an optional wind sensor, and will automatically retract when the wind picks up
