Last season we bought a pair of non-FIS race skis for my son, who at that point was shorter than I am, and about 120 lbs. They're 153 cm Blizzard Magnesium SLRs, which he skied on two days before he was cut (no race background) from his HS ski team.
A colleague at work is interested in buying them for her daughter, who's joining the Dublin School alpine team (she also has no race background). I'm happy to sell them, but I'm uneasy. She's wispy enough at 109 lbs., but she's tall, 5' 9", and the paradox confuses me.
My colleague has discussed the skis with the race coach, who was vaguely positive. Anyone here have an opinion?
