Okay, this is a huge deal here in my house. Graphic designer and talented rider @Wending has been working on a major independent project for over a year, and this week it all comes to fruition.

For the first time, the greater Portland area has really detailed, painstakingly researched and documented trail maps for MTB. They're extensively vetted, first hand, with all the local land trusts, etc., for appropriate use. Massive amount of work went into these. Cool features I've never seen before, like stub trails at intersections, showing you forks NOT to take. And these maps will be FREE at local shops, trailheads, etc., thanks to hard won sponsorship from many businesses, including LL Bean. This is contributing to the community as it should be done. Bravo, Wending Maps and Wayfinding.

Yes, for once the original Portland is ahead of that other Portland. ;)

Now when we get your level of air service to ski destinations we'll have made the big time.

Very nice!

However, when we Pugskiers are MTBing in Portland we expect guided tours!

Although a map may come in handy when Wendy drops us.

That's cool. I'm looking forward to biking season. I recall the rides I used to do when I lived there. All months of the year, too.
