Here's a practical boot alignment guide, that I put together a while ago for coach ed. It was a 1 hour discussion and here you only get the slides, but it is fairly comprehensive and points in the right directions, with some examples you can see on the slopes.

It's focused on understanding the effects of boot fitting and setup elements, to figure out what to address when you see "that" on the hill.
