We attended a 4th of July concert two nights ago and of course it ended with the 1812 Overture. It’s a mystery how a musical piece about Russia’s defense against Napoleon became a fixture on our Independence Day. Then I had another thought. It's impossible to listen the the William Tell Overture and NOT think of the Lone Ranger.

Just my musings on Independence Day....

Canada. It's like your Grandma's attic. You don't go up very often but there's some neat things hidden away up there! (No intention of disparagement to our Canadian members!) :)
