Pitch, sap and grease are things you don't want to hot scrape to clean!
Full on wax removers will dry the base of wax more than desired.
What to do?
Glide wax cleaners are the way to go in my book.
What say you all.
Here is a short video with the full meal deal.

Hot wax and scrape thick
Brush a nice cross hatch. and go skl.

Bare bases glide OK, a good wax base is better/

Better is the mortal enemy of good enough.

If cleaners and wax is an issue for your ski enjoyment, Seek steeper slopes with deeper snow!

Ha ha! I like good glide on mellow slopes and long flat run-outs!
