I did not take this photo. It was shared with me by Xu Yu Gang’s, the photographer’s, friend. The photo is taken in Mongolia in -40 degree air temperature. Boiling water is flung from a bottle, I assume a thermos.

We briefly had cold enough weather for that to happen in the Northeast a couple of years ago... and there were several reports of people throwing boiling water on themselves when it didn't work. :eek:

The upper reaches were tricky yet fun. From the small tree island above me and down was absolutely great.
