We just ended a four day excursion to Yellowstone where we stayed at Old Faithful and toured all over the park. You can only get in by "snow bus" or snowmobile (with a guide or with special permission). The contractors are keeping the roads groomed just like a ski area does so they are allowed to continue operation during the federal shutdown. They groom 150 miles of roads, half every day and the other half every-other day. Yesterday we had what our guide called a "three dog day" which means we saw three different canine types in the wild. A VERY rare occasion. Even the food service people knew about it this morning.

Dog 1, Coyote:

Dog 2, Red Fox (he did this several times):

Dog 3, Wolf (Not the best pic, but quite rare. Each of these guys howled and we heard others in the woods howling back. Incredibly amazing, a lifetime event.)

These guys hang out in the neighborhood when we get dumps. The herd numbers about 300. This was last week, they will be back Friday as it may snow a bit Thursday

I don’t bother with the Mule Deer pics as they are below my deck every afternoon

Hey guys, I have a photo in the Niseko shoot photo comp and the winner is decided by likes so if you could give the photo (on their page) a like or a share it would be much appreciated!

The link only took me to the Niseko Tourism page. Maybe open the photos on that page to find the photo to “like”
