If anyone has a recent men’s model what is the fit like?

I have an older insulated version (~2013 era) and the shell version from last year. I would say that the fit is pretty similar between them. I am often between a L and an XL for Patagonia, I have both of these jackets in a L and have plenty of room to layer in both of them. It is definitely a roomy Large.

If you feel like you're between sizes, I'd size down with Patagonia. I'm a size 42 in a sport jacket, but a medium in Patagonia jackets.

I have the shell version and think it fits true to size. I am an XL and like the length of the Powderbowl.
For midlayers by Patagonia my R1 fits larger in an XL than either the Nano Air or Better Sweater

Generous. Plenty of room. If in doubt always size down.

Arcteryx are more true to size.
