$5300 minimum is the minimum for the next bid, if I read their site correctly. I don't know where it started, but even the lottery chairs are $2500. Plus the $50 to get in the lottery.
They are going to raise a lot of money for non-profits with the auctions and lottery entry fees. Perhaps more importantly they are going to raise a lot of revenue to offset having to shut down for two months. $2500 x 100 = $250,000. That is not chump change. The retirement of the Pali lift will have a serious benefit for their bottom line this year.
