Redster Widebodies.

Fischer 86-ish AM ski (I heard the Pro Mtn might be gone?).

Thanks for being there!

Thanks for answering my question in the video @Philpug regarding the FX flex. Looking forward to reading the on-snow review, assuming the FX96 HP is on your list. With the profile maybe a combo of both the last generation and 2015 it sounds like something I'm very interested in.

Before the show is over can you get a photo of the new FX's? I think I saw them in the background of the video but I'm not sure.

I’d love to see the rocker profile of the liberty evolve. I’ll have to replace my Invictus 95ti someday. They seem like a possibility although I believe I am in between sizes. I like a 175.

Where do we start? Alphabetically I guess. (note we didn't see everyone today, the floor layout was a mess).

Atomic
  • Redster X7/X9 Widebody. These are 76ish underfoot and I think will be really fun.
  • Savor. It is filling a need, I am really looking forward to getting it on snow.

Dynastar
  • 4x4, a new frontside collection with a women's counterpart, Intens 4x4.

Fischer
  • CurveOne86, a real powerful feeling ski that has members like @Erik Timmerman and @Mike Thomas really wanting. Looks like a ton of fun and a very aggressive price point, it looks like $899 is the new $999.
  • New Rangers, the 99ti looks like a good playful option to some other skis.

Kästle
Lots going on here. Where to start?
  • MX is carryover.
  • RX has NGT.
  • BMX is gone.
  • LX is gone.
  • Now what's new...
  • FX 86, 96HP, 106HP, 116 from the ground up are all new. New graphics and most importantly, new shape. These look like a blend of both previous generations. Can't wait to get then on snow. Women-specific model with new core.
  • DX73, 85 replaced LX with new construction, lower price.
  • PX71, a softer frontside carver that looks quite interesting.

K2
  • Mindbenders, of course.
  • Women's Luv series is now Alliance with some clean graphics.

Liberty
  • New women's V76 and V82 ... but you already knew that with @Tricia's report.
  • Evolv 90/100. A blend of the Origin and VMT V-Series.

Rossignol
  • Pursuit has been replaced by React with some new shapes but same narrow waists.

Dims of the Evolv 100 are near the same as the Mindbender 99..w/in 1mm.

whatever happened to the oakley react goggles?
Haven't seen or heard anything about that this year but we'll check in on that.
Unless I missed something, I didn't see the new men's Kastle FX series. Hope that you might be able to include it on tomorrow's broadcast or get a still shot of them.
The Kästle BMX is going away and the FX line is taking over with a different shape that is a good adaptation of the line.
I thought I got pics of the full FX line but I only got a pic of the new tail shape.
I'll try to get back to the booth to take pics of the line up tomorrow.

Now this... :rocks:
Oh, did I mention that there are two bourbon tasting locations in the center this year.
We hit this one late today.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that tail seems a bit more square than the FX95? Interesting. That pattern in the HP is the new core construction visible through a clear layer?

Enjoy the bourbon!

Are those your boots? ogsmile
Sure are. I skied a couple of runs on it (sorry I don't know the other lengths, the booth was pretty empty this was the only FX pair they had). I'm a longtime Kastle fan, have owned a good half dozen skis, Skied at least 100 days on FX94s. I didn't "get" the FX95, it felt like a step in the wrong direction to me. The 96 I think will be better, the ski that I was on had a bad tune and was very hard to ski, but I think that the overall feel of the ski, the solid damp feeling is good. I think that when properly tunes, the people that demo these in Colorado or wherever will probably like them. A different feel from the 94s which I'd say were "glassy", these have more of a thunk to them, but I think they will be good.

I feel like I should be more interested in the Kastles, but for some reason I'm not really. Unless one of their models is a "friendlier" MX..

Skis that do pique my interest though and looking forward to any info on them:

Changes to the Supershapes or V-Shapes or are they NGT?
Did Head re-add a Monster wider than the 88?
Atomic Vantage X 86 and 82 and how they ski
K2 Minderbender 90 and 99ti and the difference in the carbon versions
In Pugski's livecast Phil showed an Stockli AR.. wondering what is the difference between this ski and the AX

And thumbs down to Volkls graphics. I don't understand how they can get worse every year when five years ago they were already the worst. Just IMO ofc. I otherwise like the tone of the current crop of topsheets I'm seeing.

AX is 78 underfoot, the AR is 83. I think it will be a winner. Expect a AR/MX84 Cage Match this fall.

I hope you throw the 86GT in the cage too, David (price wise) vs. two Goliaths.
