So is Orlando really the most challenging city in the entire world for someone who is the least bit physically active?? Gads, it looks like I'll have to actually break out the running shoes and shorts...
The old downtown area is actually quite nice and walkeable. But the rest of Orlando is like so much of Florida. Concrete jungle, strip malls, alligators. So is Orlando really the most challenging city in the entire world for someone who is the least bit physically active?? Oooh, rent Kayaks at Weeki Wachee (about an hour away) and paddle all the way to the gulf. Then turn around and come back. Yup, against hte current. Its Florida. Its a rise of like 3" per mile. If I can do it, anybody can. Lots of manatees this time of year and the water is as clear as tap water (spring fed).Orlando is a snoozefest. The sportiest action is the Disney bus transfer. Get yourself out to a beach, any beach, body surf, kayak with the manatees, play land crab hide & seek, anything to get OUT of there.
