Champion skier, 82, has no plans to leave the slopes anytime soon

Quinn, who won the New Zealand downhill ski championships at Coronet Peak in 1963, has broken both legs, and crushed a shoulder during his 64 year skiing career.

Several years ago he overcame cancer.

He has skied from Mt Taranaki's 2518m high summit more than 100 times.

In 2018 he skied 43 days - the majority of those on the top slope at Manganui with its challenging 26 degree average gradient.
