@fail to crush maybe just consider the AX in 168? That's 6cm shorter than your current and that much lighter, and, most importantly, it'll keep the performance envelope you're familiar with.

FWIW, I'm about your height and 30# lighter, and feel like the 168 just disappear when cruising or booking.

$1200 skis to go noodling around with the kids? Test a Brahma 82 or DPS cassair 82. Both will do what you want very well.
