Kid wants me to take his tele bindings from this Orgins 90s to Kastle 95 fx(168).

I didn't know what I was doing the first time I mounted the tele bindings. :) Where does one mount in relationship to the mfg line?

They basically Targa G3s

Thanks

I use to tele a lot and there were two schools of thought: Pins on center or ball of foot on center. I haven't mounted tele bindings in a a long while.

I'd look here: https://telemarktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1870

Google "mounting tele bindings ball of foot on center" you'll get a lot of info.

I've looked at those the first time. Probably will do the same again. Lots of info, that is for sure.

Just thought I would see what this group might say.

Thanks

Mount them boot center on the line, just like alpine skis. Forget the old-school 2cm (or whatever) behind the line.

Figuring out the boot center can be a chore - if it’s not marked, measure half way between the pin holes and the heel end.

Measure the length of the boot sole from the center pin hole on the duck bill to the heel. Mount boot center to recommended mounting mark on the ski. Some like to go back a CM or maybe 2, but I think recommended line should be fine.

Depends on the binding/ski. If it's 75mm then "usually" 2cm back but if NTN then you want 'boot center on the line, just like alpine skis', just as pais alto said.

Mount them as you would for alpine boots: boot sole center over the mark. As was mentioned, you may have to calculate the boot sole center. This is how I mounted my Rotafella bindings on my Fischer RC4s (alpine race ski) for racing.

Thanks for all the help. Switched the Attack12 from the Kastle to the Origins.

Now time to mount the tele bindings.

This is the binding, but still do center of boot to center of ski?

What would the difference in location be between pin line to chord center vs boot center to the mark on the ski?

Don't know, I mounted boot center to ski mfg mark. :) He wanted them done NOW! Short term skis. Will get some twin tips for next year.
