In the Beaujolais aisle we have a rather yummy rose, think dry cherry front grafted onto a tart and stony finish. View attachment 48811
Chermette is a wonderful Beaujolais producer. Not surprised that bottle is good.

I recently tried some wine from an independent producer in UTAH! The winemaker is a ski bum!

So far I've only tried the Chillion - liquid gold.
I highly recommend.
I agree in general. Now, are you sure the 93 points were for the 2015 vintage? I checked wine.com and they only show a 90 from W. Wong, the guy who used to rate for Bevmo and is a few points over the ratings I tend to trust. His 90 would probably map to Parker 87-88, WS 86-87, and Tanzer 80-85
Anyways, sorry for the bad wine.
Cheers!
How cold was it? I'm not a Conundrum fan, but usually when budget whites don't show well it's a question of a) they sat too long or b) they are not at the right temp for the sugar/acid balance to taste right. To this reader, 2015 and a fogged bottle are both danger signs that a budget white will be on the meh-gah spectrum.

Their cremant is a standby in the house; this is the first rose I've had from them.
Yay. I tend to find great value in Cremants!
Now that humans have domesticated salmon, finding a good bubbly is a need not a want

Perfect summer drink.
Recipe, please.
Put ice in a glass. Pour 1 part Aperol, to 3 parts prosseco. Aperol on bottom creates a lovely color gradient. Some recipes also call for a splash of soda but I didn’t use any. Garnish with sliced citrus.
I drank a whole bottles worth of prosecco yesterday

Has anyone else tried Ruth Lewandowski wines? They are too pricey for everyday wines for me at 30-40 a bottle. I usually by “cheap” wines but occasionally “splurge.”
I’m curious to see how others rate this guy. I personally just like the backstory. he moved to Utah for skiing, but still decided to pursue winemaking.
Pale but captivating. Panzanella salad. Yum.
