Mammoth announced a new closing date for the 17-18 season, saying that it will stay open until June 17, and maybe later.

@SBrown, you could get your June turns in at Mammoth :D

This just in! Mammoth will be open daily for skiing and riding until at LEAST June 17. Top-to-bottom conditions are killer and there's still a ton of time to get up here and get those late season turns in. Photo taken yesterday 5.17.

Looked like this today on chair 3 about 1:30. Chair 5 was better as trees gave some definition although I felt like I was poaching it as it's mostly open for a big air camp and signs said not patrolled IMG_5973.JPG Clouds lifted a little after I quit, but r--n started. Hope I get 23 tomorrow.

@Tony, that Superpark #5 area is less restrictive than last year, anything that isn't roped is fair game, just have to be careful. Last week I was able to scoot around the top of #10 off of Solitude and hit the groomer back to 5, even less than no one there. After that I accessed the Avy Chutes where I skied 'til 5pm, then had my chauffeur (ha!) pick me up at Canyon. 395 Reno-Mammoth was closed last night following a mudslide at Topaz Lodge. Haven't heard when they planned to get it open
