It’s been 20 months since I last skied. Jaw cancer, surgery, radiation, foot complications from the fibula that they took out to rebuild my jaw and another foot surgery in Oct. to try to fix it. Still down 10 lbs but better than the 24 that I lost. Feeling blessed now to be alive and to ski. 7C96A526-01C6-4F9D-9070-42FFD54F3003.jpeg 77D10815-E7B7-407B-B79D-55943567A7EB.jpeg

Way to persevere! You’re a role model now. Those first turns back on snow must have been SWEET, messed up taste buds and all!:thumb:

A man in the know. Thankfully my taste recovered. The first and all the turns were sweet. Don’t have the muscle strength that I want but muscle memory is there.

Thank you all. Love the Pugster Universe. I made a short vid. I wasn't sure how my leg was going to go but actually worked great. Will be working on getting strength (and form) back. Hopefully a long season this year.

Congratulations on your perseverance and comeback. I went through a major health issue a couple years ago and was off the snow for 2 years. Getting back on the snow was awesome. Last winter was my return and I wasn’t nearly as strong but loved every minute. I only have a half day on snow so far this year and feel much stronger. Keep at it the strength will come back.
