While I appreciate the creativity aspect these no snow skiing vids leave me scratching my head and asking “why?”.

It doesn’t look like fun imo. It just looks rough and the sensation of skis in snow is what I’m after and the attraction to the whole thing.

I feel exactly the same way, but I have learned that when I say it out loud people just call me an old fart.

I suspect that for all these kinds of vids the crew goes into it figuring that the skis are expendable - just part of the budget. They use new ones because those are the ones potential sponsors are trying to sell. Or they're sponsored up front.

I REALLY like to ski, on both snow and water. However, I don't think id like to ski both on the same run....
