We found these skis and binding in out house and we have no idea if this is something we should hold on to or if there’s someone that can enjoy the history (if any) on these old skis

Lange skis were made by Dynamic and have some history. Post a picture of the bottom of the tip, the older Langes will have the double bars like the Dynamic skis. If they are newer Langes they will have the Lange Logo on the bottom of the tip. I don't remember what year they changed the Logo from the double bars to the Lange Logo. Maybe @Bill Talbot has some additional information on them.
With the Tyrolia 490RD binding on the ski it could help date the ski into the early 1980's and I was a little surprised to see the Made in Switzerland on the tail of the ski.

I logged a ski bum year in JH during the 80/81 serason, and was on Tyrolia 360s at that time, so these with the 490s might be a bit newer than that?

My Mom had a pair of the Langes that appeared to be reskinned Dynamic VR17s. She loved them. When Lange started selling them, they were just about giving them to ski patrollers, so win-win for us.

Lange skis were originally made at the Authier factory in Switzerland, It says “Made in Switzerland” on the pair in the photos. Rossignol bought Authier from the Olin Corporation in 1972, in 1988 they sold the Authier factory to the holding company that owned Ebel watches and moved production to the Rossignol factories in France and Spain. I don't think Dynamic ever had any involvement, the Dynamic brand was eventually acquired by Amer Sports, in 2018 they sold it to a Ingrid Menet who relaunched the brand in 2020, the skis are currently made by Blossom.

Not sure about that, my Lange Freestyle skis had the Dynamic double bars on the bottom of the tip if I remember correctly. I am going to the "All Things Lange" thread in the Ski Heritage section of this site. Let's see what they have to say about this subject.
Edit, see post #20 and #23 in All Things Lange.

I think there are two generations of Lange skis.
  • The early ones were made in Broomfield, Co. Lange signed a deal to [I think] licence Dynamic skis in the USA and ultimately that plant made Lange skis when Lange was sold to Garcia. That's this generation.

  • Then there was a hiatus and under the Boix Vives ownership the Authier factory started making Lange skis which are what we have in the posting above [the made inSwitzerland ones]. I ve no idea if Lange owned Authier as early as 72, but the initial Lange skis were definitely US made and in a factory with a Dynamic 'connection'

I've skied lange skis from the above from pictured generation. They belong to @Lowell Watson. some of the best vintage skis I have ever been on. hopefully he will chime in here too.

I also supplied the Lange/Dynamic skis in the Pit Viper ad campaign from a few years ago. skied just like VR17's

I have to disagree. As evidence by Lowell Watson’s skis, there was a generation of mid-late 70’s Dynamics prior to this late 80s model. And, there is a generation of Dynamic Lange’s prior to those, including the same VR17s worn by Killy. If you look at the enclosed pictures of the Lange’s, the tails say Dynamic and show the list of late 60’s WC and 68’ Olympic wins. So three generations of Lange skis if you will. I have at least two pair of Lange’s that say made by Dynamic, one has the two stripes on the tip.

Yep, my read is:
  • Dynamic 'under licence' [USA]
  • Lange in the [former] Dynamic factory [USA]
  • Lange in the Authier factory [Switzerland]
