K2 Merlin IV

I think my first shaped skis were the Merlin V and I am sure I skied them in a 198. I am still using the carbon poles I got when I got those skis but the paint has worn off of them. I went from them to a pair of Volkl P30RC in a 195 or 200 and I loved those skis. When I moved about 20 years ago I got rid of a bunch of stuff including some Rossi 7XKs, Volkl P9s, Atomic RS, K2 KVCs and TNCs. I always had a hard time getting rid of my old skis.

Interesting video from the company, ACX, that did the piezo dampening system.
The light thing was a two edged sword. Yeah it showed something was working, but people came to just talk about the light only. A gimmick.

Merlin V was my last pair of K2s until I got these Mindbenders. The peizio still lights up.
