Decided to do a little editing today and put together a clip from Kokusai (Jan 27th) of us skiing our favorite ridgeline. Apologies for the smudge on the lens half way through.....

Snow Cruise Onze and Bankei weren't super exciting, so I'm moving forward to Jan 29th and surprise surprise, we are back in Kokusai. I had bought a gimbal before I left and with some sun and pow in the forecast (plus skiing with friends and clients that I know well), they were ok with me filming one of the group and trying it out. It's a work in progress, but the stabilization and subsequent improvement of video quality is noticeable. I'm supposed to be guiding so I can't film like this too often, but if I can find an easier slope to ski on following the skier, then I think this makes for better footage. If only I can keep the subject in shot better; it was really tough in this video as the terrain was challenging......
