I saw this awhile back and it just made me howl! I mean, talk about Gumby on skis. Anyone else have days where they FEEL like they are skiing like that? I do!

Ha,
I had a co-worker when I worked at True North who was in a bump competition back in the day.
His video clip which was in a Warren Miller Movie was a lot like this.

Survival skiing at it’s best is fun to watch. Dove into an ice covered Ovation Headwall entrance last season hooking a left turn at the bottom with too much speed. Only move was the full body/hip check to scrub speed keeping me out of the trees. My buddy in the crowd gathered below watching said they groaned as my skis were over my head but cheered the fact that I returned upright skiing my line no problem. Have yet to master the multiple linked recovery line.

If my memory serves me well, that's a clip from a film by Dick Barrymore called “The Performers”. I used to have the VHS copy from the late 90's when K2 remade it with the newly formed, but now defunct K2 Factory team to promote the El Camino/Duster line of "shape" skis. It had the original at the end.

Edit: I guess it was called "Performers Now"

Gotta love the loooong poles and arms above the head!
I would just have a series of panic attacks doing that.

OK... for a while I thought that was a video of you in the bumps at Whistler last seasons. But then the intentional roll at the end gave it away... Your roll would have been accidental.:D

We know what the scores for turns and speed were. Wondering what the score for airs was...??

Is this the video they showed on Saturday Night Live back in the 1970s? I believe they were mentioning Spider Sabich getting shot so they showed this video with gunfire audio.
