Planning a trip to Breck and was planning on taking a private lesson or 2.

Saw that there was something called Breck Guides Elevate. Would this be good to help an intermediate skier breakthrough and explore the mountains.

Does anyone have any insight on either?

Never too early to daydream about a ski trip.

Thanks!

I never quite understood the definitions, but elevate meant beyond level 5, while guides meant whatever the client wanted, including hike-to terrain and avalanche training. Group lessons at level 6-9 meet at a location (Vista Haus on Peak 8) separated from the levels 1-5 meeting places on Peaks 8 and 9. Part of the separation means riding on a chair beyond the beginner terrain chairs. Guides lessons can start early with first tracks before lifts open to others and can include all the designated slopes at the resort. Breck has some pretty challenging hike-to stuff.

Private lessons CAN be guides lessons, but generally they're just private lessons that normally meet at one of Breck's three points of departure for lessons. They CAN meet elsewhere by prior arrangement with the instructor.

An intermediate-level skier probably would benefit most from a standard private lesson.
