What happened to the old one? Anything salvageable?

Free hub is not working, just spins. It's not a bike I want to put much into so looking to go cheap.

Could be broken pawls in the ratchet mech. Or springs. They're repairable if you have patience. Bike shops will give you parts for them more than likely. What kind of hub is it? Fairly common or remote chance? If I were local I'd have a go at it. You can always find a used hub and relace the wheel provided the hub dims are the same. Can even use the old hub, just make sure you relace the spokes in the correct orientation int he hub..that is, put the spokes back into the grooves worn by the original spokes.

Yeah, what kind of hub do you have. Replacing freehub bodies is usually pretty easy.

Make that a 150x12 formula hub- it was recently rebuilt, so I'm now hopeful.
