Youtube vids can be played at different speeds using the vid's settings.

Vimeo vids have no such settings control. However speed can be adjusted in Chrome with neat work-around:

1. Right click on the bookmark bar
2. Click on the "New Page" submenu option
3. For the "Name" field enter something like "VimeoSpeed"
4. In the "URL" field copy and paste this bit of script:
javascript: var v = document.querySelector('video'); var t = prompt('Set the playback rate'); v.playbackRate = parseFloat(t)
5. Click "Save"

A new bookmark should appear in the bookmark bar with the name entered in item 3.

Now go browse a video in Vimeo as usual. To change speed click on the bookmark created above. A dialog box will appear "Set playback rate". Enter a number - for example: 1.5 to play 150% of normal speed, 2 to play twice speed, 0.5 to play 1/2 speed. Or as required. The Vimeo vid will now play at the entered speed.

Moving this over to issues. It may have been overlooked in Posting guidelines.

However, I don't seem to have issues with Vimeo videos showing up or playing but I am not sure I've ever messed with speeds.

Not really a bug or an issue so much as a way to enhance playing of vimeo vids. Very useful to slow them down for MA. (Or speed them up when it's a long vid.)

Hopefully ppl can find it here. May be a link in this the "How to video for MA..." thread?

Not a Pugski issue.

@geepers is stating a way to slow down Vimeo videos via using Chrome features.

@geepers did you know you can step through a Vimeo video frame by frame by using shift-right-arrow? Without the shift, the right arrow steps through a second at a time.
