So the Family Truckster seems to be running out of space just in time for Christmas... I'm contemplating a hitch cargo rack..with a box and crap. So the Truckster is almost exactly 60" wide. The racks come in 48" and 60" in width. Would ya go big or smaller? I worry about sandblasting and weather blasting if bits of the rack and boxes etc are out in the windstream much. Anyone have any insights??

Whatever you hang out the back will get coated in salt/sand.. low pressure area.. things get sucked into it.. so.. big or small, you'll have the same issue..

Go big so you don't buy twice ;-)

Go big and shrink wrap the crap out of it. Secure the wrap with plastic tape otherwise you might end up with a 100 foot shrink wrap streamer behind the truckster.
