I was in a need to replace my bike helmet so I went shopping and found a great fit with a Specialized Sierra Helmet which has a ponytail port!
This may seem insignificant to some, but having hair pulling from a helmet that doesn't fit will around a pony tail is a pain.
I'm betting there are a ton of riders out there who would love this feature built into more helmets.

That's an unusual vent configuration (aside from ponytail port). Is it nice and cool?

Taking it out on its maiden voyage today. Will let you know.

Here is the link to it on Specialized's website.

Not terribly expensive but really comfy

When I have long hair, I hate having the ponytail squished against my neck to make me (more) sweaty. But a high ponytail hurts. It will be interesting to hear if this helmet threads the needle. I have some winter hats with ponytail holes - they're great!

How in the heck do you do that??
I can't no matter how I tried. Perhaps my hair is thicker:huh:

I don't know. I just do. Your hair might be thicker, or my helmets have always just allowed me to.

Doesn't work unless you are wearing goggles, though. (I think? That's always how I thought it was done....)

Wot? The nape of her neck is 3 inches below the scrunchie?

Notice that the webbing hugging the occipital bone on the Lazer goes more than an inch below the ponytail.

Okay, fair enough. Mine would slide down, though. I'm currently in a short hair phase, though, so *phew*
