In a similar vein to SRV, Frank Marino imho is pretty good, and much under-rated.

Saw Marino and Mahogany Rush play with Ted Nugent back in the late 70's. Both were great. Also, Ronnie Montross. It's where Sammy Hagar got his start. And you tube Tina S doing moonlight sonata.
