Really, comparing practically bald tires on an AWD to brand new full blown snow tires is lame and unrealistic.
The things were new.
Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 3 high performance summer tire.
I agree it’s silly to compare a full on summer tire instead of an allseason one.

However, a lot of people actually think they’re ok because it’s awd. Seen many x Beemers stuck.
A winter rated, eg snowflake symbol, year round tire is usually called “all weather” tire.

Rivian picks up some more investment capital:

And a similar-looking truck that I wasn't aware of pops up in the news:

Interestingly, to me, this one uses separate in-hub motors at each corner. As a kid, growing up in mining country, I was aware of Euclid dump trucks using this tech. Huge diesel engine driving an electric generator that powered separate electric motors at each wheel.

Maybe the first hybrid?!

A separate motor at each wheel sounds ideal for traction and stability, IMO. I'm kind of surprised they're the first to do this.

I think Rivian might also be doing this, but I didn't realize it.

THIS is going to be fun in ski area parking lots!
