Today, pulling snow fences and packing snow down with snowcats while dozens - dozens! - of people hiked and skinned past to enjoy deep snow and bluebird weather.

I was blown away by how many people were skinning and hiking.

I went to A Basin today planning to test out my new AT boots, get a few groomer runs in, and call it a day. While I had some frozen toe issues - it was really really cold in the morning - I still hit the Falcon rope drop and did two rounds of directed skiing down Norway Face. Soft snow galore. And Al says more is opening tomorrow ...
