California/Nevada Dunderberg Dusk Patrol, May 15, 2016

On Sunday afternoon on our way back from skiing Mammoth, Dookey67 and I wanted to do a recon ski mission. Plan A was to ski near Lundy Lake. When we saw a drastic lack of snow around Lundy we formed a plan B and drove up Virginia Lakes Road to the Green Creek Road turnoff that heads toward Dunderberg Peak. We started up at around 4:45 PM.

Looks like you generated some nice memories. How much did the snow change from top to bottom?

As I recall the snow stayed pretty consistent from top to bottom on this date.
There have been previous dusk patrols where the snow would start as corn on the bootlpack and begin to setup and firm up a bit as the sun went down
