Discs are going pro and tires are getting wider

It’s an article about the pros which is why it’s interesting. Lots of beuracracy, red tape and “tradition”. This is a big change and while folks like you and others know the value, until the pros fully embrace discs and wider tires, the consumer market will lag. .i think the manufacturers have finally gotten it right over the past 2 years. Looking forward to see if they are ridden at the TDF.

Oh, they will be. Component mfrs are all in now; they have to push it.

Agree! I'm pretty sure Trek riders (on emonda's) will but will specialized (in particular) riders and some of the other major brands?

While slow adoption of improvements can be irritating, the specs for rounded edges (a result of the acceptance process) makes the discs safer for us.

Now I want a new bike. Budgets suck.
