Like this one a lot. She is hitting on what I have been working on for a very long time, just had never really verbalized it. Would add that as it gets steeper increase the counter with the hips and shorter radius turns on steeper terrain are an automatic.

This winter have also been adding a little different thing to teaching at about the wedge christie level with very good results. Think that it ties right in to what Deb is saying. From a static position having a student close their eyes and tighten their outside glut to feel the muscular action of that leg. Then on the green try that in a turn will often get an AH HA moment. Once they have done it a few times it starts to get ingrained into a more natural action and less thinking. Try it yourself and see what happens to your skiing.
