Another 50% cover. Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Boom Boom. The album version featured John Lee Hooker. But I couldn't find that version on youtube:

I kind of like this one, not a top 10 contender though..

Not sure how we missed this one so far...

Not that they are necessarily "better", but I just consider them great remakes of the Simon & Garfunkle classics.

Dolly wrote "I Will Always Love You" for Porter Wagner when she left his show, and like everything Dolly does it was brilliant

Then Whitney took the song to a different Planet (and made Dolly very rich)

We've jumped the shark. I Will Always Love You was already mentioned. Probably a couple others double dipped as well. These are all good enough to post over and over though!

Warren Zevon, covering Bob Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door:

If you're not familiar with Warren, or the circumstances behind the album The Wind, he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer shortly before he began recording and died two weeks after the album's release... so he was being literal when he sang "let me in, let me in, let me in".

Devo - Head Like a Hole
(Original by Nine Inch Nails)
Wow! That was really interesting. Big fan of NIN Head Like a Hole. Didn't even know a cover existed. :thumb:
