All I can say is when you guys in Colorado do something you do it BIG!

I’m glad no one was hurt. It would have been a sight to watch it happen. An 8.5 million pound boulder as big as a small house.

Hope they just push the rocks to the side and leave them as something to look at.

Looks like the rocks stopped short of taking out some power lines.

Something like that happened on I-70 back in the 70's above Georgetown. It landed on a mini van with a young family in it. They did not get to have their picnic that day.

Gravity works.

Wile E Coyote could not be reached for comment. We get one of those about every two or three years in Western NC. Half of I-40 was shut down for over a year a couple years ago.

I think a great thing would be to get a bunch of art graduates to work creating the Colorado equivalent of moai.

In person is a lot more fun. I’ve watched my Dad blow ditches in mud/dirt. Everything goes up in a nice sheet of earth, like a dirt waterfall. Rock blasting is just a bang and a cloud of rock dust. The Seabees on Midway had to blow a coral head when they were putting in a sheet pile wall. We stood a half mile away. 250 pounds of dynamite, sharp kablooee, dust and coral high in the air, very impressive. The goonie birds were startled. Then they just looked around as if, who cares?
