Deep cuts I've had fun listening to lately while doing yard work:
ZZ Top, My Head's in Mississippi (goofy fun): [VIDEO]
Rolling Stones, Can't You Hear Me Knocking (one of the great guitar intros): [VIDEO]
Led Zeppelin, Achilles' Last Stand (hammer of the gods): [VIDEO]
Steve Vai, Attitude Song (excellent live performance, sounds like pinball machine music): [VIDEO]
Cream, Born Under a Bad Sign (have loved this one since the album first came out in '68): [VIDEO]
Bruce Hornsby, Across the River (love Jerry Garcia's lyrical guitar on this one): [VIDEO]

Here's some gems of Dylan.

This one goes way back, circa 1965. The songs and performance are awesome, but the setup with the blokes sitting around smoking, reading and head bobbing...yeah, contrived, but does not detract from the music... almost like a music video. This predates VH1 by, what 20 years, but could have easily been the first music video. This is worth a watch for anyone who appreciates Dylan or wants a slice of what mid 60's counter culture music was about. Check out 7:23 The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll

Here's another:

A few oldie, but goodie live performances from youtube:

Oh Canada!
kd lang - Halleluja:

THE definitive Led Zep cover!
heart - stairway to heaven:

Flexible vocal cords!
Righteous Brothers (Bobby Hatfield) - Unchained Melody:

My vote for best preserved golden oldies vocal cords!
Little Anthony and the Imperials - Hurts So Bad:

Pure!
Joni Mitchell - Big Yellow Taxi and Both Sides Now:

Energetic to the Max!
Janis Joplin and Tom Jones - Raise Your Hand:

Kind of a slick version, but also kind of perfect!
The Band with the Staples Singers - The Weight:

Perhaps my favorite live rock vocal of all time!
Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends (at Woodstock):
