OMG, could he actually survive over an hour without carbon???? From 1995-2005 aluminum bikes were all over the pro peloton. .

Carbon is crap and Alu is only a cheaper version. Too stiff and too fragile.

I can hear the creaking from here...I looked at the Stevens timeline. And found - an Alan Record Carbonio. Complete with 25.0 mm Campy aero seatpost
At this point I'm 60%+ convinced the Stevens Aspin is just a resprayed Alan.
