And, in the meantime, all of the FutureShocks in Roubaix, Ruby, Diverge and Sirrus since 2016 are under recall:

OMG, could he actually survive over an hour without carbon???? From 1995-2005 aluminum bikes were all over the pro peloton. .

I just went through my bikes and OMG the only alu bike I have is a Turner MTB  N+1 here we come!

But seriously, that was also the era of 2-season racing frame turnover vs. 3+ for groupsets.

Well, the TDU seems a good place to launch it, the buzz is unceasing:

I had a good conversation with Specialized PLM's and engineers.

Allez: Great bike for the money, but the Tarmac is a much better bike.

TL verse tube tires:
"The current Cotton with a Turbo tube is faster than the SW Turbo TL. The elastic cotton/ latex casing plus butyl tube still causes less hysteresis losses than the Nylon TL casing of the SW Turbo TL. And we haven’t reduced the tread thickness to offset those losses like others now do

If you are happy with the puncture protection of the Cotton and its longevity I would not change."

Note: The guy who is in charge of Specialized's tire / tube program used to be the head of R&D at Continental. Super smart guy. Probably one of the top 5 or 10 people in the world on the subject.

I looked at the Stevens timeline. And found - an Alan Record Carbonio. Complete with 25.0 mm Campy aero seatpost :roflmao:

At this point I'm 60%+ convinced the Stevens Aspin is just a resprayed Alan.

I can hear the creaking from here...

LMK if you want to ride one, I have an almost-original '86 in 56. I put in a Kestrel fork because braking is better when the fork doesn't judder. And a Cinelli Frog stem because then-gf thought frogs were kewt.

No creaks last year, excepting the stupid stem.
