Camper falls to his death on Cannon Mountain

A sad story involving an uncharted waterfall on Cannon Mountain in NH....

Two Connecticut men celebrating a birthday came to Cannon, rode the Tram up to the summit (my supposition), then evidently bushwacked their way down through dense growth to a ledge over some falling water near the tramline. They set up their tent on the ledge, and one slipped off to his death in the middle of the night. There is mention of a 250-foot waterfall, although I know of no big waterfall in that area. Maybe someone reading here does.

Might be a newish feature with all the rain this summer.

That's very sad.

Just a guess that it could be on the steep eastern side of Kinsman. There must be mini waterfalls all over the place after a lot of rain.
